Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FlixPicker ("FlixPicker", "we", "us") governing your use of our website and our iOS and Android apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, or by using the Service without an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. What FlixPicker Is

FlixPicker helps you discover movies and TV shows: personalised suggestions based on your mood and preferences, an advanced search, editor-curated collections, and details on where a title can be streamed. Registered users can also build and share playlists, follow other users, collaborate on playlists with others, rate and review titles, and receive an optional AI-generated description for a playlist.

3. Accounts

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Sign in with Apple. You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account — see the Children's Privacy section of our Privacy Policy.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, without notice where the violation is serious (for example, harassment or repeated posting of prohibited content).

4. User-Generated Content & Acceptable Use

FlixPicker lets you create content that other users can see: playlists (including their titles, descriptions, and cover images), a profile bio and photo, ratings, and reviews. This is your content, but by posting it where others can see it, you grant FlixPicker a licence to display it within the Service. You're responsible for what you post.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organisation.
  • Post spam, or use the Service to advertise unrelated products or services.
  • Upload content you don't have the rights to, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  • Harass, bully, or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, or interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a way that isn't publicly documented.

5. Reporting & Content Moderation

If you come across a playlist, profile, or other piece of content that you believe violates these Terms, you can report it directly from the app or website — look for the "Report" option on a playlist or a user's profile. You can also block another user, which prevents them from following you, collaborating with you, or contacting you, and hides their content from your feed.

We review reports and may remove content, restrict a feature, or suspend or terminate an account as a result, at our discretion. Reporting content does not guarantee a specific outcome, but we take every report seriously.

6. Third-Party Content & Services

Movie and TV show data, artwork, and ratings shown on FlixPicker are sourced from third parties such as TMDB and streaming-availability providers, and are their respective owners' property. Streaming availability is provided for convenience and can change or be inaccurate; we don't guarantee that a title is available on any platform shown. Some descriptions may be generated with the assistance of AI (Google Gemini), where you have opted in to that feature, and may occasionally be inaccurate — see our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Subscriptions

FlixPicker offers an optional premium subscription, purchased and managed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing, billing, auto-renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms — see Apple's standard EULA for App Store purchases, or Google Play's terms for Play Store purchases. To cancel or manage a subscription, use your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not FlixPicker directly.

8. Intellectual Property

The FlixPicker name, logo, and the design and code of the Service are owned by FlixPicker (KafeinSiz Creative) and may not be copied or used without permission. Movie and TV show metadata and artwork remain the property of their respective providers and rights holders.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We try to keep recommendations, streaming availability, and other information accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee it will always be correct, complete, or uninterrupted. FlixPicker isn't responsible for content posted by other users, or for decisions you make based on information shown in the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlixPicker will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect a new feature or a change in how the Service works. We'll update the "Last Updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
